CME Director

Greg Michael Dubord, MD Greg Michael Dubord, MD

Greg Dubord, MD is the CME Director of CBT Canada, and the leading advocate of medical CBT—the integration of cognitive behavior therapy's tested techniques into normal family practice appointments. He is head instructor for all 2012–2013 trainings.
Greg has given over 250 full-day CBT workshops. His teaching has been sponsored by a wide variety of institutions, including the University of Toronto's Department of Family and Community Medicine (10X), and the College of Family Physicians of Canada at their annual Family Medicine Forum (38X).

Greg has been honored with top CME teaching awards, including from the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He recently received the "CME Teacher of the Year" award from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Medicine.

Greg completed his orthodox CBT training under its founder, Dr. Aaron T Beck, and was the first Canadian Fellow of the Beck Institute. In the late 90s, the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry (now CAMH) recruited Greg to establish the Intermediate and Advanced Cognitive Therapy Courses for the training of full-time cognitive therapists. He has led both courses for over a decade, and he co-directs their encompassing University of Toronto CBT Certificate Program.

Greg is Director of the Toronto Center for Cognitive Therapy, one of Canada's oldest CBT clinics. To help disseminate bona fide CBT in primary care, the Center sponsors a variety of electives for family practice residents.

When he's not busy advocating for medical CBT, Greg's passions include mountain biking, kayaking, and skiing—but most importantly, being the best husband and dad he can be.
